The fashion industry is the third highest-polluting industry in the
world.
Everyone—consumers, workers, and the planet—is at risk. Roughly 2,000 chemicals are used in dying textiles and only 16 of them have been deemed as safe by the Environmental Health Agency. In many countries, workers aren't even getting paid the minimum wage for the clothes they make that are on average thrown out the very next year.
